Raya Has Come To Brunei and Raya Tips

Today is the starting day of Raya in Brunei.. As usual, The BOOOOM! sound is a 'must' on the to do list. Firecrackers of different shapes and sizes exploded here and there giving colors to the night sky as we are doing our last minute preparation before family members, neighbors, and strangers alike to come to our house to celebrate the day after a month of fasting. Cookies, cakes, soft drinks and peanuts are some of the menu during Raya-ing and much more on 'open-houses'

Here are some tips for a 'safe' Raya-ing.
1) Giving salam to the owner house and take off your shoe.
2) Eat and drink with manner
3) Dont ask for angpau! :p
4) Perpare something to talk about
5) Monitor the house owners mouth, bail when he yawn! :p
6) Dont eat too much on one house, you dont know what other houses has to offer..
7) lessen your rice in-take or any main dishes. hehe.. this usually helps so that u can eat more of the other food without the feeling of full stomach. :)

follow this tips and you will have a great Raya celebration. Lastly, Selamat Hari Raya to all the Muslims in Brunei Darussalam.. :)

One last swoop on Miri

On the last weekend of Ramadhan, thousands here are flocking to Miri in Sarawak for a last-minute shopping spree before the Raya celebration next week, creating a 3-km long queue to the Sungai Tujoh checkpoint yesterday. The traffic jam from morning till 5pm yesterday caused some frustrated travellers in the afternoon to turn back, as the slow-moving queue took an hour before reaching the Brunei checkpoint.

I know Ramadhan is coming to the end. We could already see and hear the sound of "kaboom!" every night as Raya draws near. It is one way for certain people to up lift the celebration of Hari Raya however we should also be reminded of the importance of safety while playing with firecrackers.

The advisory said vendors should only sell and buy fireworks bought from approved importers namely B-Win Trading & Marketing, Y.C.M Enterprise, Othman Ghazali Trading, Kiong Tiong Sdn Bhd and Syarikat Perniagaan Kukoh Bersatu. Police also reminded vendors of fireworks and firecrackers to refrain from selling those which do not meet the requirements set by the authorities or they would face a fine of up to $3,000.

The public however is reminded that under Section 6 of the Minor Offences, burning material or discharging firearm in Public Road, offenders could face a fine of $250, if found guilty. The section states that any person who sets fire to or burns any material to the annoyance, inconvenience or danger of the public, or sends up any fire balloon or rocket in or near any public road shall be guilty of an offence.

Im myself is a nintendo fan since I can grab a game controller and play Mario. So here is a review on the pros and con of n3ds.

pros:
-Its has two screens; a 3D screen on top and a touch screen below.
-it has 3 cameras; one facing the player and two cameras outside (for taking pictures in normal format and 3D format)
- It can automatically connect to the nearest wifi.
-It has gyroscope and accelerometer that allows you to tilt and move the 3DS in supported games.
- it has a home screen button.
-a microphone.

cons:
- the 3D visual is not for erevyone and it is actually can harm ur eyes if u stare at it for a long period of time.
- the battery life can only last for 3hours.

I have found this blog here and I said that this product is contain a trace amount of swine's DNA which was confirmed by the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Therefore, it is 'not halal' and shouldn't be consumed by Muslims but for non Muslim I am not recommending to consume anything that is related to swines. As studies indicates that swines contain a large number of fungi, viruses, worms and bacteria alike. Furthermore, swines doesn't have a neck hence we could not slaughter it. why should we slaughter it??  here is the answer..
